Newton 508

Adam Lowe

Newton 508 is a high quality cavity drain waterproofing membrane, which is supplied in a number of variants for use within Newton System 500, our internally applied waterproofing system that includes Newton drainage and pumping systems. Depending on the variant, Newton 508 is suitable for the waterproofing of earth retained walls, vaulted soffits and floors and is guaranteed against deterioration for 30 years, with a life expectancy of the design life of the building (DIN 9001:2000), and supported by BBA Certification Number 94/3010. Newton 508 is inert and, therefore, non-polluting to drinking water, highly resistant to water, alkalines, saline solutions and organic acids, and not affected by minerals and hydrocarbons. It is also rot-proof, and resistant to bacteria, fungi and other small organisms. Newton 508R and 508 eco Floor also both exhibit high compressive loading stability. Newton 508R and 508 eco Floor are also independently tested as an effective barrier to radon ground gases, with Newton 508R also tested as a methane and CO2 b d within our patented combined ground gas and waterproofing system, Newton PAC.

Newton HydroBond Tape

Adam Lowe

Newton 403 Hydrobond tape is a high performance double sided tape designed for sealing overlap joints of the Newton 403 Hydrobond Membrane. It provides a Type A (barrier) waterproofing solution to below ground and earth-retained structures.

Newton GeoProfile

Adam Lowe

Newton 410 GeoDrain is a two-core drainage sheet consisting of a non-woven geotextile filter layer thermally welded to a water impermeable HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) drainage membrane. Newton 410 GeoDrain provides drainage and protection to the outside face of basement walls to sloping sites, preventing the build-up of water pressure and protecting the structure from aggressive water, chemicals and toxins, and provides mechanical protection only when used against the ‘Type A’ waterproofing where the site is not sloping and so where ground water removal is not viable or recommended.

Newton 403 Hydrobond

Adam Lowe

Newton 403 HydroBond® is a high performance, self-healing, composite sheet membrane, available in two variants, with Newton HydroBond-GB adding ground gas resistance (in compliance with BS 8485:2015) as well as the exceptional waterproofing capabilities of the standard membrane. When fitted above the raft support or to wall formwork, the membrane locking fleece is fully encapsulated into the newly placed concrete, becoming fully-engaged to prevent water tracking. If the waterproof LDPE layer is punctured, the exposed hydrophilic coating expands, preventing water ingress, effectively sealing small holes that may be accidentally formed during fixing of the reinforcing steel or the placing and compaction of the concrete. Newton 403 HydroBond provides a complete waterproof envelope to the structure to achieve Type A (barrier) waterproofing suitable for Grades 1, 2 and 3 as defined by BS 8102:2009, and is suitable for all below ground and earth-retained structures from domestic basements to the largest civil enginneering projects. Both variants can be used as part of the HydroBond® System in conjunction with Newton 108 HydroBond-LM, which is sprayed to the exposed walls of the basement after the temporary formwork is removed. Where space is tight, Newton 109-LM can be applied by roller or brush or small airless spray machine. Newton 403 HydroBond can be used alongside other Newton products to provide a co-ordinated and combined approach to the waterproofing of the whole structure that includes protection against water ingress to the deck, through construction joints, through and around service entries and to movement joints. Correctly protected, the Newton HydroBond System will provide, under normal service conditions, a durable waterproof barrier for the life of the building to which it is installed; the expected lifetime of the building itself should be at least 60 years. The Newton HydroBond system is supported by BDA Agrément Certificate BAB 17-031/04/A and is accepted by the NHBC as a suitable waterproofing system for Type A Waterproofing to Grades 1, 2 & 3 according to BS 8102:2009.

Newton 315 Polymer-Waterbar

Adam Lowe

Newton 315 Polymer-Waterbar is a hydrophilic, acrylate polymer waterbar, which swells when activated by moisture. It is characterised by high elasticity and high tensile strength. Newton 315 Polymer-Waterbar can be used to seal the structure against water leaks to cast-in-place concrete construction joints. The swelling is achieved through hydrophilic acrylate polymers, which are inseparably embedded within the butylene carrier material . This results in high elasticity and exceptional tensile strength, even when fully expanded within the joint. Due to its high resistance to acids, alkalis and organic solutions, Newton 315 Polymer-Waterbar can be used to seal joints where aggressive water is expected such as within sewage treatment plants, biogas plants and liquid waste holding tanks.

Newton 309-M Adhesive Mastic

Adam Lowe

Newton 309-M Adhesive is an MS-polymer based, durable and fast curing elastic adhesive. Newton 309-M Adhesive has a very high initial strength and bonds without primer on almost all materials used in the construction industry, such as aluminium, galvanized and stainless steel, zinc, copper, natural stone, concrete, brick, cement based cover sheeting, HPL panels, treated wood, gypsum, glass, glazing, and various synthetic materials.

Newton 203-RM

Adam Lowe

Newton 203-RM is a single-component, fast-setting, Portland cement-based structural mortar, used primarily for the durable repair of concrete. Setting in just 10 minutes at 20ºC, Newton 203-RM is ideal for areas that cannot be taken out of service for long periods, or where the concrete is subjected to heavy wear such as roads, runways, bridges, decks, floors and footpaths. Polymer-modified, and fibre-reinforced, Newton 203-RM is physically and chemically compatible with the host concrete, quickly exhibiting high adhesive and compressive strength. As a single component, requiring only the addition of water, the resulting mortar is rapid curing with enhanced polymeric properties and reliable strength development which is not significantly affected by low temperature use. The mortar can be used as supplied up to 100 mm deep, or bulked out with clean, washed, sharp sand to form a high performance screed or for floor or deck repairs up to maximum depth of 300 mm.
