Structural Strengthening & Plate Bonding

The life of a load bearing structure can be demanding. Over time it may need to be strengthened. This could be for new EU legislation on a bridge perhaps or because the structure is breaking down. The normal practice is for carbon fibre plates placed along the length of the beam. An Aramid wrap can also be used for columns. Steel plate bonding is sometimes an option. These are all adhered using an epoxy resin.
